Terminology is the theoretical study and the set of specialized terms (vocabulary) specific to a field of activity (computer science,etc.). It structures concepts and normalizes terms, completing lexicography. It is distinguished by the creation of technical directories and the search for specific terms.
Silent letters are letters that are used in the official spelling of a word but are not pronounced.
Sentence style refers to the structural, grammatical, and rhythmic choices—simple, compound, or complex—that define writing tone and impact.
Effective writing mixes sentence lengths, keeps structures clear
(subject-verb-object), and uses varied sentence beginnings to maintain
flow and interest.
Active voice emphasizes the doer, while passive voice highlights the action's receiver. Key rules include swapping subject and object, using "to be" in the correct tense, and always using the past participle (V3) of the main verb. Continuous tenses add "being," while perfect tenses add "been".
