Teaching objectives:
The main goal is to enable students to master the English language as it pertains to their field of study. This includes both oral and written communication skills, preparing them to participate in international conferences and interact with foreign companies.
prerequisites:
Students should have a good base in both general and scientific English, as well as a good understanding of computer tools like word processing and PowerPoint.
Course content:
The course is divided into six main parts:
Synthesis of scientific articles: Summarizing and extracting key information from research papers.
Presentations and mock interviews: Practicing public speaking and communication skills relevant to professional settings.
- Initiation to scientific article writing: An introduction to the structure and conventions of academic writing.
- Advice for a successful presentation: Tips and techniques for effective delivery.
- Oral presentation by students: Students present their work, demonstrating their acquired skills.
Final Written Exam: 60%
