Selection and Genetic Improvement

The course focuses on methods used to improve the performance of farm animals through better environmental management and genetic selection. It also introduces major breeding approaches, including inbreeding, used to fix desirable traits in pure breeds, and outbreeding, used to increase genetic diversity and develop new lines.
